From the Bride:
I stumbled upon Britney’s Facebook for her photography when a friend of a friend had recently had her wedding photos posted there. While on her site I noticed that Britney was having a 1,000 like Giveaway as a thank you to all of those who had “liked” her page, I liked her style, so I signed up for the giveaway. A few weeks later my fiancé proposed at the Seven Foot Knoll in Baltimore where we live and that same week I heard from Britney that I was a winner in her giveaway (talk about best week ever, right?).
I had always envisioned a springtime Annapolis engagement session and so the October proposal meant that we either needed to change what we our photos to look like or fake it. We opted to do a little of both! W e chose a fall outfit first and switched into a more formal, outfit let’s-pretend-it-isn’t-cold, outfit after. We also brought along our dog, Dempsey!
Britney was wonderful, easing us into the session she’d suggest a pose or two and then let us naturally pose or walk, or kiss, or laugh at one another. She asked a lot of questions throughout the session and really got to know us. Then, when she saw something she liked she would just click, click, click! Everything felt so natural and fun, no pressure at all. I felt like we were nervous and a little awkward in the beginning and so with Britney’s help we were able to relax and be ourselves and so much of what I love about our pictures is that you can see our personalities in them.
I fell in love with our photos, especially those by the Naval Academy dock. This was well into the shoot and at this point we were comfortable with the idea of being the center of attention (as comfortable as we could be at least). A ll of the poses were easy and fun and allowed us to really come out of our shells.
