It’s hard to get hyped over a recycled lineup. We know how it goes, which is why Nocturnal Wonderland really broke away this year and turned to a new network of artists, each adding to one of the freshest spreads we’ve ever put our hearts into. It also means some of you might not recognize most names on the list—but don’t worry, we’re not going to leave you in the dark. With the Noc lineup by stage starting to cool off, we’re going to break down the five stages the good, old-fashioned playlist way.
The vibrations will stay elevated the entire weekend, as Labyrinth pushes Headliners through a head-spinning maze of moods and genres. Friday mixes up the wavelengths with a wide array of artists landing all across the board. Big Gigantic towers over the stage with their sax-fueled seduction, while Gramatik keeps the flow going through flavorful electro soul service. West Coast bass heroes Pantyraid go streaking with nonstop bedroom jams, and Giraffage grazes the future R&B field.
Bassrush brings on the bottom-heavy frenzy with all the homies coming through on Saturday. Capsa and Rusko keep the b2b heat going strong, and the same can be said about the frequent hard-in-the-point tag-team between Minnesota and G Jones. Drum & bass fun guy Spor reps it his frenetic rollers, and Prolix pummels the neurofunk across the floor. Trap fiends get their fix with the versatile Troyboi throwing down something fierce, equally matched by the vicious beats seeping from the amorphous Liquid Stranger.
Sunday switches gears again. The painfully polished sounds of Chromeo get played out live, and on-the-rise duo Hermitude follows suit. Confessions favorite ANGELZ stomps out the strange and free-ranged bangers. Keys N Krates unload a mess of hip-hop-hued heaters, whereas Autograf and Gryffin stay easy-going with light and breezy blenders.
All in all, it’s a lot to take in, so start getting lost in the sounds now by jamming out to our Labyrinth playlist.
