The smallest (and maybe cutest) house inTorontois known worldwide and has Ellen Degeneres as one of its devout fans. The house is a mere312 square feet (29 m2) and was built 1912 by British-born contractor Arthur Weeden, who migrated to Canada in 1902. OriginallyLot 128 was conceived as a laneway for a neighbouring home, but when the curb wasn’t cut, Arthur Weeden decided to build a tiny house on the land. He lived in the house 26 years, 20 of them with his wife and tended to the vegetable garden in the rear of the house, growing tomatoes, cabbages, Swiss chard, rhubarb and some flowers.
The house even has its own website: http://www.thelittlehouse.ca
