This clear day along Canton’s waterfront was captured by the talented Jennifer of Horace & Mae Photography ! When we learned that this couple got engaged while traveling abroad though, we just had to know more! We got the whole story from bride-to-be, Millie.
Dave and I have been dating for about 8 years. This past summer we had a 2 week break in June and I really wanted to travel somewhere. Unfortunately, Dave wasn’t able to get off of work (having just gotten a new job). My sister volunteered to be my travel buddy and we planned to spend most of our time on an island of Spain, Palma de Mallorca. During our stay, my sister asked me if we could meet her German friend for lunch who happened to be in town. I agreed and we planned to meet her friend at a nearby castle. When we arrived, my sister shared that her friend was already inside. When we got to the top of the castle I saw Dave out of the corner of my eye. I was so happy to see him but I was really confused! I asked him what he was doing in Spain and he said “I just love you so much.” The next thing I know he was down on one knee asking me to marry him and I burst out in tears. I eventually said yes when I was done hysterically crying (I’m such a sap for anything romantic)!
And of course we had to leave you with at least one image from their proposal in Spain! Dave’s friend Tim came along and captured the proposal on his cell phone!
