DIY | Metallic Thread Table Numbers

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, table numbers are one of my favorite projects to DIY for a wedding because you only have to make a few – yet every single guest get’s to experience them. Low work – High impact. Table numbers are actually on my list as one of the 5 easiest projects to DIY for your wedding. These are simple but a tad time consuming and kind of old-school crafty, which I love. Follow my printable design guide in order to stitch up an awesome set of metallic thread table numbers… or see if grandma will do it for you!

Time frame: 30 minutes per number

Cut your cardstock down to fit your choice of frame, I used a 5″ x 7″.

Using my FREE printable design, either hold it over your cardstock or cut the numbers out – whichever makes you feel more comfortable. With your project over a foam surface, carefully make a hole at both ends of each line design using a thumbtack or paper piercer – this is where you will sew.

There you have it, your number is outlined and you are ready to sew.

For the embroidery floss, I only used 3 strands — all floss come with 6 strands so you’ll need to separate them. If you use all 6, it will just be thicker and might rip through the holes, your choice. I think that part of the beauty is seeing through the stitches… sew back and forth, back and forth, back and forth across your number until it’s complete!
