Beach Wedding in Maui, Hawaii
Destination weddings are some of my favorite weddings ever! I absolutely love the idea of getting married on a beach; you are guaranteed a breathtaking sight and there is no doubt the guests are enjoying themselves. This beach wedding takes place on the gorgeous island of Maui. Not only is this destination wedding by Photography by Mariah Milan gorgeous, but the couple’s love story is a must read!
Kellee and Ryan met in junior high, when they were both 14 years old. They attended high school together as friends and then, as most friends do, parted ways and lost touch when they went off to college. After college, Ryan decided to try and get back in touch with Kellee. The two hit things off, and they began dating in 2010! Last year on a family vacation to Maui, Ryan proposed to Kellee, and the two returned to the island a year later with friends and family to tie the knot. Between the amazing beauty of the island, the simple, relaxed elegance of the wedding, and that fantastic cake, there is plenty inspiration for a destination wedding. Enjoy!
Great advice from the bride…
Try not to stress too much! I decided pretty early on that I wanted a “simple elegance” type vibe for our wedding day. Of course I poured over blogs and pinterest and and and…but at the end of the day just find what suits you. We found a breathtaking location (and can I tell you how helpful the Merriman’s event staff is?!). I hand-picked the officiant and photographer, who were both equally as amazing and helpful. After that, grab what looks good to you and go with it!
