This post was inspired by a lovely bridal session that came to us from Sharon Elizabeth Photography ! We fell in love with the little touches that this bride added to her ensemble that truly made it her own. These nautical accessories are perfect for a casual, outdoor bayside affair!
To start things off, we’ll introduce Leslie’s wedding gown. She found this bay worthy frock at J.Crew – so of course we’re automatically in love. This dress is perfect for a nautical wedding with it’s rope halter top. Accentuate the dress’ features with a swept up hair style. Looking to get your hands on an Ursula dress of your own? We don’t blame you!
Leslie made this simple white gown her own by accessorizing with a belt from Venni Caprice . This belt features the most classic nautical style and color pairing, navy and white stripes! The best part about this accessory is that it can be changed out for a different style at any point in the evening. Use something dressy for the ceremony and then swap it out for a different look during the reception.
We love nothing more than the beautiful views that bay weddings provide, however often accompanying them are damp grasses or sandy shores. Neither of these are the most stable of aisle ways so we applaud Leslie for wisely wearing wedges. These striped cork wedges are called the Santa Rosa and were made by Sperry .
Leslie changed out her striped belt for a solid navy one for the second half of her bridal session with Sharon. However, she made this one herself with some ribbon! This is a fantastic idea for any bride because you can bring in any fabric or design you’d like! Leslie said that she simply added velcro so that the belt would have a clean finish in the back.
And what bridal ensemble would be complete without some sparkling jewelry? Above you can get a look at what Leslie chose to wear, but we’ve included a few pieces of our own that we’ve been eyeing! Both the knot earrings and anchor charm can be found at Tiffany’s!
