“From a photographers point of view, shooting a wedding day is an outstanding experience; capturing the love story that plays out over the day is not only heart warming but also a humbling experience. I love wedding days, there’s never been a doubt about that, but I’ve recently fallen in love with an entirely new experience: the anniversary session. Being given the opportunity to photograph a married couple who are even more in love with each other than they were on their wedding day is beyond breathtaking…
..I was approached by Cara with the proposition of a hybrid photo session; not just a session to commemorate the 1 year anniversary to her husband but more of an extension of their wedding day photos. Not only did Cara want to wear her dress again (without trashing it and leaving it in shreds) she wanted to revisit the memories and happiness of her wedding day. Cara wanted to add a little flare to the session so along with the help of a few select vendors, Cara and Paddy were able to transport themselves back into their wedding day as a way to celebrate 365 days of love.” – Ten・2・Ten Photography
“Erika from Ten 2 Ten Photography and I actually went to university together and both became Radiation Therapists and work in Cancer Centers. When I got married and found out that Erika had branched out into photography it was a no brainer for me – as soon as I saw her work I loved her style, creativity and uniqueness.
My husband and I eloped in New Zealand – he was living there, and I was visiting him for a month while I was living/working in Saudi Arabia (complicated I know!). We wanted to celebrate being together after a year of travels, distance, & lots of love, and besides – we got to play dress up!
We had a lot of fun with this shoot – it was so exciting to have someone as fun as Erika directing us (we aren’t the most natural people in front of a camera – not sure if we could be serious for even a moment!) and she did such an amazing job at making us feel comfortable. After years of traveling and being together as well as being apart, this was the perfect way to end our first year or marriage, and start our second!” – Cara, the seasoned bride
