After I got to my new home for the coming year, I posted some photos around town in Guanajuato, Mexico . It’ll be three weeks since we got here this Wednesday and we’ve moved from our temporary apartment to our year-long one. Here are some shots from the roof decks of the two apartments.
In the first one we paid $225 a week and had two furnished bedrooms, one bath, furnished hang-out space with kitchen, and all utilities included. Not bad, but for the long-term we did better. For $800 a month, furnished, including utilities and Internet, we’ve got two side-by-side apartments perched over the city, with amazing 360-degree views from the roof deck. For that price we have four bedrooms, two full baths, and two equipped kitchens. (Strange, but good for guests.) Loads of space for my office and all the friends and family coming through.
This might not quite qualify as one of the cheapest places to live in the world , but we’re getting a lot for our money here.
