Teal and Pink Vintage Wedding
I am so excited about spring and all of the beautiful weddings that come with it, like this amazing teal and pink vintage wedding by Vanessa Joy Photography ! I am so in love with how this couple perfectly mixed bright, modern colors into their rustic, vintage theme. The bright teal bridesmaid dresses with the brilliant pink and coral bouquets makes for a fun and stylish look. With the bride being a photographer and filmmaker and the groom a writer, it only makes sense for that to be incorporated into their wedding day. With the marquee letters of their initials, vintage books as centerpieces, and of course a photo booth, the couple was able to make their day even more personal and memorable. The mason jar classes, chalkboard signs, and wildflower centerpieces created a rustic feel that mixed well with their vintage theme. This teal and pink, vintage wedding is so fun and creative and a great inspiration for any wedding!
From the bride:
To be honest, growing up I never really dreamed about my perfect wedding. I think somehow I knew, that whoever I did marry, that vision would be made by us together. And indeed was that vision made by myself and Jordan. Jordan and I share a deep love for nature and the beautiful creation God made this earth to be. We love raw, simple, rustic and vintage style and we wanted to showcase that somehow in our wedding. About a month after Jordan proposed we met with Kristin of Reverie Events and just by that first meeting alone we knew we had to bring her on our journey. Kristin helped us find Terrain at Styers in Glen Mills, PA. It was the third location we visited and the one that completely hit home to our hearts of what we were looking for. It had the perfect blend of vintage and rustic styles and of course nature. Every time we visited, we just felt so at peace and at home. When we would tell people we were getting married there and described it as a garden nursery, we always had to say “wait, it’s not what you think!” We couldn’t have found a more perfect venue thattruly spoke about who we are.
Jordan is a writer, and I, Stasia, am a filmmaker and photographer. So storytelling is a big love on our hearts. So with that, we incorporated a lot of vintage books, cut out hearts from printed paper, vintage cameras, marquee letters of our initials (like at the cinemas), and even a photo booth for guests to take pictures; all were incorporated for storytelling. Another big part of that is in our ceremony. Instead of using traditional vows, we wrote our vows together with our officiant, which made it very unique and special for us. We also each (by members of our bridal party) shared our story of how we each came to know Jesus, showcasing that He is the ultimate reason of why we are together and the story He is building with both of us being together. We felt so honored to take something traditional and make it our own. Our guests were so impacted by our ceremony that it’s all we heard about the rest of the night and weeks after. Indeed there was not one dry eye during our ceremony and we cherish that truly. Besides that, one of our most memorable moments was our first look. Getting to see each other for the first time and having that quiet moment to be together and say the things you want to say without anyone around (well, besides your photographers and cinematographers), we both truly loved that time together.
