Intimate Sail Cloth Wedding | Sarah Culver

I don’t think I knew how joyous, natural, and intimate a wedding day could be until I met with this beauty by Sarah Culver Photography . Sarah shared this couple’s love story, “Melissa was the bartender at her parent’s Tall Timbers Marina where Casey docked his boat each night. It took many years but finally the stars aligned and they fell in love. Their wedding was nautical through and through, crowded with sailors at the family marina, a sail – covered aisle, a ceremony on the boat that Casey proposed on, portraits in the antique boat graveyard, and local oyster farmers providing catering.”

Melissa even shared with us that inscribed inside her wedding band is the longitude and latitude of the mid point in the river where the bride and groom lived right across from each other!

More about this beautiful day from the radiant bride herself, “Casey and I both knew we wanted a November wedding but didn’t want to wait a full year to do so. Along with our families, we managed to plan a beautiful wedding in twelve weeks. We walked through a field along an aisle of oriental rugs lined with autumn colored mums, down to the beach. Surrounded by family and friends on the beach at Tall Timbers Marina (our family owned marina for 53 years) we exchanged our vows on a barge over the water.”
