Classic Blush Wedding by Idalia Photography
Whenever I start a blog post, I search through all the lovely photos and marvel at them, while also trying to find something unique about each individual wedding. The thing that I love the most about this wedding by Idalia Photography , and more importantly the couple, is the involvement of family in the photos and the moments captured. I love the sweet moment between mother and daughter prior to the ceremony, as well as the father-daughter and mother-son dances. It is common to see photos captured of the father-daughter dance, but the mother-son dance is also a special time to see. Aside from this, there are so many other great things about this wedding! I adore the soft blush color scheme (a huge trend this year). This classic blush wedding really has it all; blush colors, mismatched bridesmaid dresses , getting caught in the rain, and beautiful classic decorations.
The scoop from the photographer:
Rachel and Derek met at Egan & Sons, a bar in Montclair, NJ. Derek was reading a book at the bar, Rachel inquired about it, and the rest is now history. These two tied the knot at the beautiful Lake Mohawk Country Club in Sparta, NJ. It was a gorgeous wedding and the skies cleared up long enough for us to do their first look in the most perfect little garden ever. Their ceremony was held in the gorgeous ballroom with windows looking out onto Lake Mohawk. My favorite part of the day was the unity sand ceremony which represented not only the uniting of two people in love but of a family of three. Their candy bar was picture perfect in a pretty palette of pink, white, and ivory. On display were three beautiful and touching poems by her mother and poet Elinor Mattern.
