Hello lovely Baysiders! Can you believe we are already halfway through 2013? We just couldn’t go any further into June without shouting from the rooftops how entirely grateful we are for May! What a month full of changes, ones that still have us reeling! From name changes to growth in our little Bayside family, we are so truly blessed! Our very own Natalie Franke became Natalie Hayes when she married her high school sweetheart over Memorial Day weekend! While we aren’t sharing her wedding with you, we did want to share a few photographs that fills our hearts with joy!
Natalie’s wedding undoubtedly kept her busy. Of course Krista and Sara also played a huge part in the day, serving as beauteous bridesmaids! And if things weren’t crazy & wonderful enough, I was off in Northern Maryland being a bridesmaid alongside a dear high school friend. While it’s hard to imagine a better way to spend the weekend, Bayside Bride was left without a captain at it’s helm! How did we make it? With help from our interns of course! Bayside is always seeing interns come and go, each of them breathing new life into the blog through their writing and excitement. And while we’re already missing our Spring interns we are equally happy to welcome four new faces into the mix! Gina, Cristina, Carling, & Julia were handpicked from our largest group of applicants ever! Several of these ladies have already taken over our social media outlets and we are looking forward to sharing their articles soon!
Oh goodness, you thought that was all… Well there are quite a few other changes heading our way. In addition to her bridesmaid duties, design work, and photography, Krista has begun a redesign of Bayside Bride! Although the redesign isn’t public yet, tides are a changing under our mighty ship! We’re biting our lips and holding our breath until we get to share them with you! Things to look forward to- an all new personalized vendor guide and a fresh color scheme! Krista describes the new look as “pure nautical, hand drawn, classic, slightly distressed, and preppy!” And just because you’re being so very patient I’m going to let you have a sneak peek!
Now that you are officially up to date with our behind the scenes business, we thought we’d share some things on a more personal note…
1| Crafting was a full-time job in and of itself! Pink and lace ribbons set the background for the fun photo booth at the Hayes wedding. When I stopped by two weeks ago there was a whole crew working together on DIY projects!
2| Krista and her husband Davey have found some of their calmer moments in walks around Annapolis with their dog.
3| May couldn’t come to an end without some Sunday morning Starbucks blogging!
4| Goofing off with my boyfriend, Logan and good friend, John (owner of those huge blue sunglasses) at a high school friend’s wedding!
5| Natalie’s bachelorette shenanigans were done in true Bayside style!
6| This month Sara has been working hard on expanding her client base. She designs the most beautiful invitations, don’t you agree? She even worked on table numbers and chalkboard signs for Natalie’s wedding!
7| Another proud May moment was the Color Run! Sara and hubby Steve loved being blasted by color and running for a good cause!
8| I went to Australia for my birthday! If only… But I did go to Passport DC , a day where embassies all over DC open their doors to visitors. We visited seven countries- Thailand, Egypt, Trinidad, & Australia among others. I even tried vegemite!
9| Annapolis Wedding Vendor Happy Hour was so fun, especially with Natalie’s shadows along for the ride! Natalie hosted Meg and Kate from Severn School, showing them what a week in her life looks like. Read more here .
