Bridal Fitness on Paper: My New Treadmill

YAY! It's June, my very favorite month of the year. And you know why? Because it's my birthday month! (My birthday is 6/14, a.k.a. Flag Day, and yes, I'm still young enough to get excited about it :)

I hope you all had great weekends. It was a nice weekend for me, in part, because I got a new treadmill! You may remember that my husband and I had been treadmill shopping earlier this year while I was pregnant. I wanted to get one so that I would be able to stay active after having the baby without having to worry about getting to the gym everyday. Dale and I had been looking at a few different treadmills that fell within our budget, but hadn't decided on one yet. Then on Saturday, my husband happened to find a great deal on a Livestrong 15.0T treadmill . This treadmill wasn't one of the ones that I was looking at originally because it was outside of my budget, but it's a great, high quality treadmill with great reviews online. The treadmill was originally priced at $1500, and when we found it for half off this weekend, we snatched it up right away!

My husband hauled this thing all the way up to the second floor so I could workout in front of my TV because I know that I would get too bored if it wasn't. I tried working out on the treadmill for the first time yesterday, and loved it. I mean, as much as you can love a treadmill, if you know what I mean! The treadmill feels really sturdy with a large console and a long 60-inch running deck. My 6'6 husband ran on it while we were at the store and he felt comfortable with the size, as well. I especially love the treadmill's large touchscreen, the handle grips that jut out in the front so you can easily control the speed and incline, and the little fan at the top of the console. You wouldn't think that little fan would help, but I think it's the perfect amount of air, and it's positioned so it blows right in your face while you're working out. It also has great speakers built-in so you can plug in your iPod and listen to music OUT LOUD because you're in the privacy of your own home! Haha, I actually found myself making some noise and talking to myself for motivation toward the end of the workout just because I could! One possible drawback is that this treadmill doesn't come equipped with iFit, which allows you to download lots of workout programs, running and walking trails, if you're into that kind of thing. But as you guys probably know, I like to create and find my own treadmill workouts to try, anyway. I have actually started a new board on Pinterest just for the Treadmill Workouts that I post here and find elsewhere.
