This week’s Real Wedding is the beautiful celebration of Stacey & Matt, held at Holy Cross Hungarian Roman Catholic Church in Detroit, MI. The reception was held at St. Mary’s Cultural & Banquet Center.
Stacey is 5’3″, likes exercising for the purpose of being able to eat more later, and enjoys electric heater-side chats that don’t make you smell smoky like fire does. She has a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology, has completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan, and currently resides in the greater Los Angeles area where she is completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Southern California. She enjoys pointing out how much nicer the weather is in California compared to Michigan.
Matt (Nickname Nemo) is 6’7″, loves being asked about his height and affinity for playing basketball, ducking doorways, and getting things for others off of high shelves. He also loves sarcasm. Nemo currently is a physical therapist at All-Pro Physical Therapy in Livonia, MI, by day, and crime fighter at night (when he doesn’t fall asleep on the couch too early while watching The Walking Dead).
They met like any normal, common couple meets: in a cold, damp room in the basement of Scott hall – the air filled with the sweet scent of formaldehyde – over cadavers in anatomy lab of the Wayne State University Physical Therapy program.
