Disclosure Streamed a 2-Hour-Plus Live Set From Their Kitchen Using Facebook Live

While Facebook is underway with a thundering cashed-up campaign to convince an allegedly reluctant entertainment industry to use its new Facebook Live video streaming feature, UK house upstarts Disclosure have jumped on the bandwagon without much prodding. They’ve shared a 2.5-hour set of fresh tunes—broadcast from the echoing confines of their kitchen, no less.

“Live and direct... from my kitchen,” the duo declared on Facebook this week as the stream got underway, with Guy Lawrence from Disclosure giving a thumbs-up to the camera as he began to dig through his record box and the records started to spin.

What came next was a pleasing impromptu set that began in deeper platitudes before working into more jackin’ territory, with a sneaky appearance by Disclosure’s own unreleased remix of recent James Blake single “Modern Soul.”

“Much love one and all,” Disclosure commented upon the video’s conclusion. “See you next time.”
