Night Shift Sounds’ Metro Club has been getting a lot of attention since they dropped their bassline-loaded joint “Get Mad” earlier in the year. The UK duo really nailed their collaboration with lyrical don Serocee, who spit badman bars all over the rubbery beat they slipped underneath it. As with any track that gains solid traction, a remix package has been put in motion—and it’s a damn good one, at that.
Jay Robison, Jamie George and DJ Cable have all made it on the list, but it’s the rework from South Royston that jumps out in front. Raw and rugged, the tune creates a riled-up movement that relies mostly on squelchy sequences that toss and tumble atop hissing hats and sporadic one-shots. “Mad” is definitely one way to describe it. Expect to leave the warehouse soaking wet when this one gets rinsed.
