Are you ready for football season?

Ariana Grande killed the national anthem at the CenturyLink Field in Seattle, WA, before the Seattle Seahawks followed up their incredible 2013 super bowl victory with a win over the Green Bay Packers. The tailgate – a definition
This is like Coachella for sports fans. One big parking lot, a lot of good old American artery clogging food, smoke from the BBQ, banners and flags and team paraphernalia lining the stadium parking lot, where the echoes of the game can be heard from a million radios and portable TV sets, and everyone is there root, root, rooting for the home team.

And since everyone there is trying to one up each other in the fanatic department, being creative with the team colors (food coloring is a great way to turn your punch or your cupcakes into a home team delicacy), banners, flags and whatever else you can think of to prove that you are the #1 fan.

Tailgating starts before the game and depending on the outcome, can last for a while after the game, because you have to celebrate a victory. No one just packs up and goes straight home. So for a great tailgate party, make sure your set up has all the amenities of home, because you are going to be there for a while. And, the more at home you look at your tailgating station, the more you are signifying to your tailgating neighbors that this ain’t your first tailgate and everyone else needs to just watch and learn.
