US turntable professional and experimental pioneer DJ Shadow returned with his new album Mountain Will Fall this year, his first since 2011’s The Less You Know, the Better. As it happens, it’s also the year that Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump go head-to-head in what’s arguably the most insane election of all time, so it made for an obvious focus for his new video.
“We wanted to make a positive, life-affirming video that captures politicians at their election-year best. We got this instead,” says DJ Shadow.
Featuring some on-point MCing from Run the Jewels , the video depicts a government meeting that spirals into violence, as the politicians go head to head in a literal brawl.
“It’s such a dope video,” says Run the Jewels member Killer Mike . “It's what I really wish Trump and Hillary would just do and get it over with... Even in that fight, I think Hillary would win—and that's not an endorsement.”
