As fashion stylists who work with brides and on wedding industry editorials , it’s no wonder we often get caught up on “the dress”. What would our world be without stunning bridal gowns?! {if nothing else, our Pinterest boards would be quite boring, to say the least}.
But for brides who don’t always dream in shades of silk shantung as we do, there are still ways to get inspired by a beautiful gown. Check out these three fabulous wedding cakes I found a few weeks ago. While gorgeous in their own right, the cake designers were actually inspired by the drape and details of these stunning designer wedding dresses!
I paired them up so you could take a peek… The second is near and dear to my heart as the wedding cake matches a Claire Pettibone dress I styled for the New York Public Library’s wedding advertorial . Hope you enjoy all the deliciously decadent style!
