Destination Engagement | Greg + Barbara

“Coming all the way from Canada, Barbara and Greg decided that Maui would be the perfect place to do their engagement photos. Maui did not disappoint and offered them a warm breezy evening and a fiery sunset to accompany our session together. Living in Hawaii I often don’t have an opportunity to meet face to face with couples before the day of our session, so when I met Barbara and Greg I was immediately thrilled and beyond inspired. Barbaras gigantic ‘room brightening smile’ and little freckles peppered across her nose accompanied by the way she and Greg fit so naturally together was a recipe for magic! These two moved through our time together laughing, kissing and even sharing a tasty rainbow treat without a second thought to the world around them!” – BellaEva Photography

How did you find your photographer?

I found her online! Greg’s family had a family trip planned to go to Maui, Hawaii months in advance, April 2014 couldn’t come quick enough. Greg proposed to me in March of 2014, and when we started to plan our wedding, thinking about our engagement shoot, Hawaii came to mind! After researching tons on photographers in Maui, we stumbled upon Aundrea of BellaEva Photography . She has such an amazing talent when it comes to capturing love and candid moments, and that’s what we wanted.

What are you DIY-ing for your wedding?

To keep costs down and to incorporate some personalized touches into the wedding I am DIY-ing… the flower arrangements for the escort card table, all the candle/vase centerpieces, all of the flower bouquets that myself and the wedding party will have and as well as the boutonnieres for the guys. Plus the wedding favors which will be candy/chocolates covered apples, since its a fall wedding!

What are you looking forward to the most?

I am looking forward to letting lose and having a good time partying with my guests! This whole process involves a lot of planning, stress and anticipation, so I think its extremely important to just have a good time the day of. – Barbara, the bride-to-be
