Words from the Bride: I knew three things when I got engaged in November of 2010: 1. I would marry Robbe; 2. Brandon Werth would be my photographer; and 3. I would walk down the aisle to Sigur Ros’s “Festival.”

This trio of wishes came to fruition on June 2 when I married my sweet Robbe on a surprisingly gorgeous day in Davidsonville (there were tornado warnings the day before). I loved every part of our ceremony–even the part where I lost it right before coming down the aisle (thanks Dad for helping me keep it together). Everything was so meaningful and personal to us; I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Our reception was so memorable and fun and felt like a nonstop cycle of love. Favorite moments: our custom made invitations and programs; my wedding dress; seven Maggie Moo’s ice cream cakes (you can’t go wrong with chocolate covered pretzels and pieces of kit kat bars in your cake); delicious margaritas; our first dance (“You and Me” by Penny & the Quarters); a rap lyric battle between me and a guest on the dance floor to Notorious BIG’s “Mo’ Money Mo’ Problems”; guests and groomsmen lifting Robbe up in the air to Fun.’s “We Were Young”; our after party at a dive bar in Edgewater; and of course, our amazing photographer. Thanks to our incredible family and dear friends who helped make our day one that I’ll never forget.
