Truly, what I would do to have a complete Anniversary Box from my wedding, especially now that a few years have passed by! The idea is incredibly heartfelt and perfect for any wedding gathering {think shower, rehearsal dinner, or event reception guest table}. Here’s how it works:
- The pretty pintucked ivory silk box is filled with 50 notecards in cream cardstock with blue border and matched envelopes, all marked 1 through 50.
- Each guest writes a creative, from the heart note to the couple. They might also include mementos such as a flower petal, a cocktail napkin, place-card, or other surprise…
- Extra-special anniversaries {10th, 25th, 50th} are assigned to very special people: grandparents, parents, or godparents.
- The notes are sealed and the couple promises not to peek. They are filed back into the keepsake box by number {year}.
- On each anniversary, the couple opens the appropriately marked note and relives their wonderful wedding through the memorable words of their loved one.
Of course, there are many ways to get fabulously creative, all of which the Happily Ever Afterwords staff has detailed in their site pages , but from my own standpoint, I cannot get over this product. It’s a wonderfully throughful gift, and one that truly keeps giving long after the wedding.
