Cwtch of the Week: The Scary Bride

Good morning you lovely lot!
Happy halloweeeeeeeeeeen ! Well, today is not your usual Cwtch of the Week.  As it is the 31st October, we figured that a normal, warm, safe cwtch would just not be satisfactory.  Today we want gruesome.  We want weird. We want scary and creepy, wrapped up in a big halloween terrifying cwtch!

So, when the super crazy talented Jenna McDonnell had a chat with our very own fabulous Maria Farrelly , we knew there was going to be something awesome about to happen.  Jenna is the most fabulously talented make up artist! You have to check her out.  In the meantime, enjoy your Halloween Cwtch of the Week.  This wonderful bride, is not so much sharing a cwtch with an other human, but instead, some kind of inner beast, clawing at her face to get out!!

Enjoy! Mwwwwaaaaahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa!

So last Friday, Maria and I packed our little bag with our fancy clothes, donned the comfy leggings and climbed aboard our awaiting carriage ( National Express Coach) to London for 2016 Wedding Blog Awards .

Three and a half hours of sitting next to people we don’t know and min who refused to speak to me (Maria bagged a lovely girl who chatted merrily! I had a stroppy teenager who refused to look us from his phone, even when I offered him a Malteaser! His loss), we finally got to Victoria and excitedly headed to Liverpool Street to the gorgeous ballroom of the Andaz Hotel .

After a quick change in the toilet (ok, it took a good 40 minutes) and G&T at the bar, the event opened and in we went. And wow! This room is something else! It’s Victorian splender is abundant, with pillars and a breathtaking glass domed ceiling, it is a special special room! Decked out with the most beautiful floral displays by the ever so talented and frankly, blinking lovely Simon Nickell Design , it was clear an amazing night was about to begin!

The stonking (yes that’s right, I used the word ‘stonking’ and I will again and again to describe….) Gethin Jones presented fabulously (obvs). We stood clapping and laughing and drinking and catching up with some wonderful people from some superb blogs, while the first lot of worthy winners collected their awards.

Then came ‘ Best Regional Wedding Blog ‘ Award. We were up for this and so very excited to be nominated. But we were up against some big names and blogs that we think are fantastic so didn’t hold out much hope. We stood tall and practiced our gracious losers face. Sponsors of the award, ‘ The Woodland Trust ‘ stood ready to announce the winner as Gethin went through the nominees (and as he is Welsh, he pronounced ‘cwtch’ correctly – hoorah!). And the winner is……

Cwtch The Bride!!!!

Cwtch of the Week: A Winning Cwtch Girls Cwtch A Maria Farrelly Selfie!

All I can remember is turning to Maria, mouth open as wide as it could possibly go as we screamed at each other with complete overwhelmed joy!

We leapt for joy, received our award from that beautiful man, and proceeded to drink and dance the night away with friends old and new.

To top it off, at the end of the evening, the wonderful Simon Nickell began giving his beautiful displays to us all! Im not bitter that Maria had the bigger bunch (hmph), but as we travelled home, it became clear that travel with a bunch of flowers as big as her, all the way back to South Wales, was proving difficult.  So on the tube back to Victoria, we handed out flower by flower to some lovely people on the train, and shared the joy! As we left the tube we had lots of claps and happy faces!

Thank you so much for having us Wedding Magazine. We are honestly gobsmacked and completely over the moon.

So this is us, enjoying a winning Cwtch with our wonderful award, dedicating it to every single one of Maria’s team of #CwtchGirls who couldn’t come. Our hard work has paid off ladies!

Cwtch of the Week – The Ultimate Maternal Cwtch

Happy Monday everyone! And it will be a super happy morning for you once you’ve seen this.  Cwtch of the Week this week is just jaw droopingly stunning.  Sent in from the lovely Pippa Carvell , we have such a treasured and special moment to share with you.  Taken at Hollie and Steven’s wedding back in July, Pippa captured this beautiful moment that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, and probably wanting to ring your Mums to tell them you love them! Over to Pippa to tell us how this beautiful image happened……

Cwtch of the Week – The Ultimate Maternal Cwtch

The Ultimate Maternal Cwtch

Take at Hollie and Steven’s wedding on 30th July 2016 at the Marriot in Swansea, this moment occurred completely naturally, which makes me love this image so much more – it wasn’t forced or encouraged at all. Hollie had been comfortable breastfeeding throughout the day and it was clear that Robyn was getting hungry during the group shots so Hollie took a break and had a quick sit down. When Hollie started feeding I didn’t hesitate to take the photograph as one of the things I love doing is capturing a wedding in its purest form, particularly all of the little intricacies and moments that make up the day. Hollie started feeding Robyn and Harley (Robyn’s big brother) ran over to play with the wedding dress.

One of the things that really shone throughout the whole day was how much Hollie adores being a mum. I think that images like this reflect a person, their family, and their love so much more than any posed ‘line-up’ shots, so I was absolutely delighted to share it with Hollie and Steve. When it received over 4,000 likes and shares on Facebook I was overwhelmed but so pleased to play a role – however small – in sharing something so natural and so normal, and something that should be accepted everywhere.

Cwtch of the Week – The Ultimate Maternal Cwtch

We couldn’t agree more Pippa! Having fed my boys as well, its such a beautiful moment, over and over to have with your child.  Of course, once you’ve got the hang of it, and stopped crying that you’re doing wrong, or because you put your t shirt on the wrong way around! This could not be more of an appropriate image for normalising breastfeeding. I absolutely adore it.  Thank you for sharing x

Cwtch of the Week – A Kissing Cwtch

Gosh is it Monday again already!?!?!
Well, let me brighten it up for you! Steve Wheller of Art by Design has captured this beautiful shot of Sabine and Craig on the Engagement Shoot at Roath Park in Cardiff.  Its all so ‘end of a movie kiss’, its just lovely! Over to Steve to tell us a bit about it…….
Cwtch of the Week – A Kissing Cwtch

A Kissing Cwtch

Meet Sabine & Craig. They got married this July and wanted a pre wedding shoot at Roath park to calm the nerves. These shoots are great for couples who are a bit shy in front of the camera. We took a stroll around the park and it didn’t take long for Craig to feel relaxed in my company and in front of the camera thus capturing this beautiful moment between them both.
Thank you so much to you all for sharing! We find this more and more, an engagement shoot is a fantastic way to get used to being photographed. I mean, apart form a selfie, who on earth (unless you’re a celeb!) gets photographed all the time and is just so used to it, another day of it happening is nothing! I was so nervous, and my husband was ridiculous! He just went all rigid! But because we had an e-shoot, he warmed up and by the time of the wedding, felt so comfortable, it really shows in the wedding photographs!
We cannot recommend an engagement shoot enough!

Cwtch of the Week: A Mountainous Cwtch

Good morning lovelies. Well have we got a treat of you this morning. Christopher Ian has captured a gorgeous Cwtch of the Week during Rebecca and Dave’s Engagement Shoot, in the heart of the beautiful craggy and rugged Welsh countryside near Pen Y Pass .  It looks absolutely incredible in this one image, so imagine what the entire shoot looks like!?

Well, you don’t have to imagine. Just take a look on 28th September for the rest of this gorgeous shoot. Over to the talented Christopher to tell a bit about this image…

Cwtch of the Week: A Mountainous Cwtch

Cwtch of the Week: A Mountainous Cwtch

Engagement shoots are an excellent way to ‘break the ice’ or to get you used to being photographed. If you’re nervous about having your photos taken then this is a superb way of getting a feel for how it will happen and more importantly how I work with you. I am your photographer, yes, but I also want to be your friend. It is far better to produce amazing images if you feel at ease with my presence and how photography is approached in a natural, simple way. These guys really wanted to create images that were full of dramatic backdrops and really appreciated the fine art photography approach and we definitely managed it!

Cwtch of the Week: A Mountainous Cwtch

Its absolutely gorgeous! I cannot wait to see the entire shoot! Thank you so much to Christopher, Rebecca and Dave for sharing! x

Cwtch of the Week: A Hill Top Cwtch

Happy Monday once again lovely Cwtchers!  Gorgeous shot today for Cwtch of the Week, not only of a gorgeous couple, Hannah and Owen, on their engagement shoot captured by the fabulous Michelle Huggleston (awesome surname, we know!), but it shoes off one of Wales’ most beautiful spots!  Over to Michelle and Hannah the B2B to tell us a bit about it and their engagement story…….

Cwtch of the Week: A Hill Top Cwtch

Cwtch of the Week: A Hilltop Cwtch

This was taken at the breathtaking Worm’s Head in the Gower. It’s one of my favourite places and where my lovely couple got engaged, so it was a perfect place to shoot their engagement session!
Meet Hannah and Owen, getting married on 1st June 2017 at The Corran in Laughne.

Cwtch of the Week: A Hill Top Cwtch

Hannah’s Story:  Owen and I met in Swansea University, Owen then asked me on a date. He swept me off my feet and took me to Worms Head, Rhossili, Gower, Swansea. He packed a picnic basket and we sat on the cliff top watching the sun set, from that moment on I knew he was a keeper.

After 5 Years of been together Owen set up the same scenario for breakfast. He then got down on one knee and asked me to Marry him, without any hesitation I said YES.

He then planned a fantastic weekend of celebrations, with friends and family.

Wedding planning started off challenging, However once we set our hearts on The Corran, Laugharne, things started falling into place. We would love a very casual wedding and this setting provides that. We hope to celebrate with family and close friends to start the next chapter of our lives together in June 2017.

Fabulous – we just love a love story.  Thank you Michelle, Hannah and Owen for sharing, a gorgeous way to start the week.  And to top it off lovely cwtchers, we have the full E-Shoot to show you in a couple of weeks, so keep an eye out! x

Cwtch of the Week: A Greenhouse Cwtch

Oh its another Monday! but don’t worry.. we’re here with our Cwtch of the Week to put a smile on your face. And this weeks is another beauty! Shot by the talented Carly Turner . Jen and Mike shared this lovely moment during their engagement shoot in a breathtaking botanical garden. Over to Carly to tell us all about it…….

Cwtch of the Week: A Greenhouse Cwtch

Cwtch of the Week: A Greenhouse Cwtch

Cwtch of the Week: A Greenhouse Cwtch

This is Jen & Mike. Shot at Singleton Park in Swansea , botanical gardens. I love this shot because I love this couple! They are so sweet, genuine and easy going. They are due to get married in December and I love talking the details over with them. They are just beautiful people, inside and out.

I also love that they chose this place as a location for their engagement shots. It was raining that day which was no problem as all this is indoors! And because it’s a giant greenhouse, the lighting is perfect! I should also mention, they love collecting cactus (cactai?) and even naming the ones they have … and there is an entire part of the greenhouse filled with them! xx

As a little bonus, we have the wonderful proposal story sent in by Jenny herself, over to you lovely girl……

Mike and I met around 7 years ago when I was working as a barmaid in a pub in Furnace, Llanelli . A year after we met he asked me over to see his Christmas Tree, I’m a big fan of Christmas Trees so I graciously accepted and after admiring his tree we went to a comedy show in the Uplands, Swansea.
Fast forward 3 and half years later and we’re on holiday in Krakow . It had been a lovely day of exploring the city and in the evening Mike took me to a wonderful little restaurant off the main square in the city centre where we ate 7 courses (though one course was a vodka course which was made up entirely of different vodka shots!)
After the meal we wondered through the city as it was getting dark and then finished off the evening with cocktails at the rooftop bar at the Sheraton . The view overlooking the city and Wawel Castle was incredible. As we were walking back to our apartment along the river, he stopped me just in front of the castle’s fire breathing dragon and that was where he asked me to marry him! I think I might have even said yes before he had finished asking the question! We celebrated afterwards at an absinthe bar.
I couldn’t wait to tell our friends and family when we got back home, but it turned out Mike had already told a lot of them that he was going to propose when we were in Krakow and had also showed a few of them the ring! It turns out that he had bought the ring about 6 months before our holiday and was keeping it in the spare wheel of the car as he thought that would be the only place I wouldn’t look (He was right!) He said he was too excited and had to show someone. But he did buy me a custom ring from Artemer Studio which he designed himself so I couldn’t complain too much. We’re getting married this year at Llwynhall, Llanelli on Saturday 3rd December, and I’m soooo excited!

What a stunning location Carly! This is so beautiful and happy.  And the proposal story!! We absolutely adore it. Well done Mike, excellent proposal skills mate!  Congratulations to you both.
We cannot wait to see the wedding photographs! x

Cwtch of the Week: A Newgale Cwtch

Happy Monday Cwtchers! To get rid of those Monday morning blues, we have this beautiful Cwtch of the Week.  Meet Jonathan and Abigail.  This dreamy cwtch was captured on the gorgeous beach at Newgale, West Wales , by the fabulous Angharad Thomas .  So, over to Angharad to tell us more about this loveliness….

Cwtch of the Week: A Newgale Cwtch

Cwtch of the Week: A Newgale Cwtch

Cwtch of the Week: A Newgale Cwtch

I shot Jonathan and Abigail’s engagement shoot at Easter when they were down in Pembrokeshire for the week. We decided to shoot on Newgale beach as its their personal favourite and a beautiful beach. It was an overcast yet dry day so they got their coats and wellies on and we all went for a stroll! After deciding to have a paddle in the sea, the waves came in and carried their wellies off halfway down the beach which made for some amusing photographs.

They live in Southampton but are getting married on the 20th of August 2016 at the Emmanuel Christian Centre in Haverfordwest and having a gorgeous Tipi reception with Pims and cake at Southwood Farm, Wood Hill, Newgale . Abigail is originally from Haverfordwest. I love this image not only because they’re a fantastic couple but you can really feel the emotion and love in the image. I think black and white photos always tells a story.

Thank you so much for sharing Angharad.  And you’re so right. So much emotion showed in this image, Abigails contently in love soft smile, is like something out of a movie!  Just gorgeous! x

Cwtch of the Week: A Seaside Cwtch

Happy Monday you fabulous lot!

So we have a wonderful cwtch for you today, that is sure to warm your cockles.  Hannah Evans of Rocksalt Photography captured this beauty on Sully Island . Becky and Lyndsey took their dog Toby Han, to this beautiful part of the world for their engagement shoot.  Not only do you have this gorgeous cwtch of the pair, but we just had to include the gorgeously handsome boy that is Toby!

Cwtch of the Week: A Woodland Cwtch

Hello you lovely lot! Happy Monday! And to start this shiny new week, we have a lovely little romantic moment to share with you.  Shot by the wonderful Lewis Fackrell , Cerian and Dan share this touching woodland cwtch, and we adore it!  Over to Lewis to tell us more about it…

Cwtch of the Week: A Woodland Cwtch

How they met
Dan and Cerian will have been together for 10 years on the day of their wedding. He proposed December 14th 2013 so they’ve been engaged for a little while. When they realised that their 10 year anniversary fell on a Saturday, they decided to start looking for venues for that date.

The Engagement
Dan and Cerian always spoke about getting married but Cerian still didn’t expect him to propose when he did. He was talking about it when they went for a walk one day and then all of a sudden got down on one knee with a beautiful ring and asked her to marry him. It was quite private and completely unexpected, exactly how they wanted it to be!

Photographed during Cerian & Dan’s pre-wedding photoshoot in the local woodland by wedding photographer Lewis Fackrell Photography . They got married at the end of June at Canada lodge & Lake .

Thank you for sharing this beautiful moment Lewis! And to top it off Cwtchers, coming up soon, we will be able to share the whole amazing wedding with you – and trust me, Ive had a peak, it IS amazing! Cannot wait! x

Cwtch of the Week: Springtime Rain Cwtch

The lovely Melanie from Enfys Photography sent us over this gorgeous cwtch.  Cwtch of the Week: Springtime Rain Cwtch is exactly what it says on the tin.  A fresh spring day with rain in the air, the lovely Melanie captured this shot before everyone got drenched!  Its just so gorgeous, full of love.  Melanie had the pleasure of also shooting Catherine and Terry’s engagement shoot.
Cwtch of the Week: Springtime Rain Cwtch
Over to Melanie to tell us more about the wedding day cwtch…..
Cwtch of the Week: Springtime Rain Cwtch
This beautiful cwtch was taken shortly after Catherine and Terry were done practicing their first dance outside of their reception venue, Fairwater Rugby Club, on their wedding day 30th April 2016. We had already battled a little bit of springtime rain and we only had another ten minutes or so before the reception guests were due to arrive.
I love this photograph purely because it shows a good old fashioned cuddle and you can clearly see the love Terry has for his beautiful bride.

This is just so lovey Melanie.  Those safe arms wrapped around his new wife- thank you for sharing – and congratulations Catherine and Terry! x

Cwtch of the Week: A Mother and Daughter

I have a tendency to stalk Welsh photographers a little bit, so when I came across this gorgeous shot by Gareth Scanlon , I had to have it on the blog.  Its so lovely, its not just the gorgeousness of the little girl, its the look on her Mummy’s face, just contented joy.  Its so gentle yet full of that secure, safe and fierce love that a Mummy can give. I completely adore this. Over to Gareth to tell us a little bit about it….. Enjoy!

Cwtch of the Week: A Mother and Daughter

Cwtch of the Week: A Mother and Daughter

The Wedding was on the 13th May this year at Swansea Registrar of Births & Marriages at the Civic Centre Swansea.  The couples, Tom and Natasha and their little girl, Galah-Rae, where an absolute dream to photograph. It was an absolutely beautiful day with beaming sunshine, so these photos were taken directly into the sun allowing the lovely warm tones to filter through the trees.  I’m absolutely thrilled the way it came out – just love the pastel tones!
Cwtch of the Week: A Mother and Daughter
Ahhhhhhhhhhh, just looking at this makes me feel peaceful.  Its just so pretty.
As a little added treat, Gareth wonderfully also sent the following image of Mother and daughter, which was just too lovely not to accompany this cwtch.

Just wonderful. Thank you for sharing Gareth.  x

Cwtch of the Week: A Rapeseed Field Cwtch

Photography First ‘s Edmund Shum spent his Bank Holiday in a rapeseed field to capture this gorgeous cwtch of Colette and Gareth on their enagement shoot.  He is now suffering badly from hay fever, but it was absolutely worth it.  Over to the bride, Colette to tell us a bit about it…..x

The Unexpected Christmas Gift:

Christmas Day with the family is always one to remember, but 2015 was a little extra special. After the last roast potato was polished off, the games had been played and the wine had be drunk, our stuffed diners left to their respective houses.

Whilst waving them goodbye Gareth asked if I wanted my last Christmas present. As he rummaged around in the Christmas tree, I was a million miles away thinking about our travels to Wales the following day to see his family for our second Christmas. He then held out a (badly) wrapped Christmas present. I tore at the package, trying to think what it could be, until I finally got to the jewel inside – A beautiful diamond ring.

I was shocked. I looked at Gaz, who had a tear in his eye. I asked if this was a ‘ring ring’ to which he nodded. I pointed to the floor and said ‘let’s do this properly then’ so Gareth got down on one knee and asked me for my hand in marriage. Shocked, stunned and amazed, I asked jokingly if he had asked my mum’s permission. No? After a quick call to one excited mother-of-the-bride-to-be, it was a resounding yes from me! The family turned the car around and were back in no time to celebrate with us. The champagne, hugs and excitement flowed. It truly was a Christmas to remember.

Cwtch of the Week: A Rapeseed Field Cwtch

Fabulous story Colette and Gareth! We wish you a very happy wedding day at Oxwich Bay on 28th July. We look forward to seeing the images! xx

Cwtch of the Week: Beautiful Rainy Gower

This is beautiful. As well as it feeling like we are watching a gorgeous cwtch from afar, look at beautiful Wales in all its glory. Not only do we have this for you, we have the entire Engagement Shoot for you to look out for. Over to the talented Richard Savage , who took this beautiful image, to tell us about this weeks Cwtch of the Week: Beautiful Rainy Gower…..
Cwtch of the Week: Beautiful Rainy Gower

Cwtch of the Week: Beautiful Rainy Gower

As Rhian & Daniel are from Cardiff, for their engagement shoot  they wanted a beach location. After suggesting a few places around by the gower Coast they decided on Three Cliffs Bay. Anyone who knows this beautiful piece of the Gower Coast will know its not easy to get to.
After arranging a date and time, we checked the weather forecast on the morning of the shoot and it was rain all day. As you can see it didn’t put these two off, with the tide in we climbed and scrambled to the highest point to get the view.

Thank you Rhian, Daniel and Richard for braving the elements and rough Welsh terrain to capture this beautiful shot.  Even in the rain, Wales is blooming lush!

Cwtch Of The Week: Bethan & Austin’s Monet Cwtch by Maria Farrelly

Todays Cwtch of The Week: Bethan & Austin’s Monet Cwtch, is called exactly that as it is taken from the beautiful wedding that I had the pleasure of photographing in April. Just take a look, it was like we stepped into a Monet painting.

Cwtch Of The Week: Bethan & Austin’s Monet Cwtch by Maria Farrelly

Welsh Bride Bethan & her groom Austin tied the knot in a beautiful venue called Priors Tithe Barn in Brockworth (just outside Wales).

AS an added bonus, we asked the beautiful Bethan to tell us all about their proposal story because, well, who dissent love a proposal story!? Over to you Bethan……

I always felt bad for Austin whenever he asked me what kind of engagement ring I wanted (for some point way in the future of course!). I never really had an answer, as I had never seen one that I had really, really loved. Well apart from the huge, can’t lift your hand off the table, so sparkly it blinds you, diamonds in the expensive shops no one can afford!

One day we were walking past an antique shop in Cheltenham when I saw the most beautiful ring in the window and commented on how pretty it was. That was all the encouragement Austin needed and he rang up about it the very next day! Austin planned on proposing on our first family holiday together in Dorset with our little boy Dylan. However, when he went to pay for the ring the card was declined as they suspected fraudulent activity! After much begging and pleading with the shop to hold the ring for another week whilst we were away, Austin had to work on plan B.

Austin decided to propose at a meal he had booked for our anniversary at the Hand & Flowers restaurant in Marlow; a Michelin starred restaurant owned by one of my favourite chefs Tom Kerridge. Due to the huge waiting list Austin had booked this surprise a year in advance and thought this would be somewhere really special to propose. It had always been somewhere I had wanted to visit since seeing it on an old episode of Masterchef – which is very ironic given my lack of cooking skills!

After lots of calls and emails to the restaurant, everything was in place for the proposal. We had the most incredible meal I have ever had and when dessert came out, there was a very small box next to mine. Austin then went into his prepared (and very beautiful!) speech before ending by asking me to marry him. Apparently I made lots of random noises for a very long time, but didn’t actually say yes until prompted for an answer! When I finally did, all the staff offered their congratulations and we had a champagne toast before I made several tearful phone calls to family and friends. Although I do still tease Austin that he didn’t actually go down on one knee in the packed restaurant! It was so thoughtful and very special. We even went back there for a celebratory meal one year later, and plan on visiting again after the wedding when we have some more news to celebrate!

Nothing says ‘yes I will marry you’ like a lot of random noises.  We love this!  And you are in for a treat, as I have ready, their whole special day and cannot wait to share the whole wedding with you all very soon.

Enjoy~ Maria xxx

Cwtch Of The Week: Snap Festival Wedding

This weeks Cwtch of the Week is a bit different. When choosing your wedding photographer, unless you have an unlimited budget, most of us take our time. We compare styles and get in quotes. Take a look at what experience they have shooting weddings etc… There is a lot to consider before making one of the biggest decisions for the wedding.

With a show of hands tell me how many of you would go into your wedding without even knowing who was going to be there to photograph it? This brave and amazing couple made that choice. They got married at Snap Photography Festival , that takes place in the breathtaking Fforest .

This is where it becomes a little bit more intriguing. Ro and Xeco are actually a photography couple, of Click and Pum and so surprised the many other photographers in attendance, who had no clue what so ever, that they were going to be attending an actual wedding during their time at the festival.

As a result, this lovely couple actually had 100 wedding photographers!

The following image that we are featuring however, comes from just the one photographer, Lukas Piatek , and we think you will agree, it is simply beautiful.

Enjoy! x

Snap Festival Cwtch of the Week

Cwtch Of The Week: Snap Festival Wedding

And even though this isn’t technically a Cwtch, we just had to include it.  The intimacy of the moment, the hand on her shoulder, her anticipation, the sinking sunlight – we cannot gush about this image enough.  Its just so beautiful.  Lets all be honest, we’re more than a little green with envy!

Cwtch of the Week : Kerry & Tom’s Snowdonia Cwtch of the Week

This week we have the gorgeously snuggly Cwtch of the Week from Kerry and Tom.  This beautiful pair had their e-shoot by the very talented and ever so lovely Amy & Omid Photography .  After a fabulous day around the breathtakingly picturesque Snowdonia with the photographers, Kerry and Tom finished it off with this fabulous squiggy and super tight cwtch. I think you will agree, its absolute perfection!

Aaaaaahhhh its super dreamy. Her lovely smile, and closed eyes and his protective arms holding her tight.  Delicious cwtch indeed! And we have their lovely engagement story, so over to you Kerry….

Ah, Tom did a wonderful proposal! We’d been going out 8 months and planned a short break in Barcelona for Tom’s birthday. One day we took a metro just outside of the city to a romantic gardens with a labyrinth. I love the fun of walking around mazes so I suggested we go different routes and meet in the middle. Well, I ended up being a bit lost for a while and Tom was already there.

After having a picnic at the centre of the maze which has a statue of Eros, God of love, Tom began talking about us, our relationship and I had no idea that he would propose but just then he got down on his knee and pulled out a ring box! I was utterly surprised – but said yes of course! It was the most perfect proposal I could have ever wished for!

Aaaahhhhhch wonderful.  Well done Tom! And guess what? We are super lucky. Not only do we have this lovely cwtch of the week, but we also have Kerry and Tom’s entire engagement shoot coming up tomorrow. If this is anything to go by, we are in for an absolute treat!

So, treat this as a warm up, a stretch, if you will. As your eyes are in for a delight tomorrow. We absolutely cannot wait!

Cwtch Of The Week: Beautiful Beach Cwtch

Morning you lovely lot!

I think we can all agree that summer is on its way. Yes, we might be having the odd shower but the leaves are on the the trees, the flowers are filling our gardens and the days are getting longer. This also means that wedding season is in full swing. The excitement is building for many of you who will soon be walking down the aisle.

This beautiful beach Cwtch of the week was taken by the South Wales Wedding Photographer Clare Adams from Loveseen . This photograph smells of summer. The lighting, the setting and the way her dress is bundled up in such a carefree manner. The other thing that I love is the fact that Caroline is on her tip toes. It reminds me of my husband and I, as I’m a shorty as well.

On Saturday I was at Freshwater East, Pembrokeshire, to photograph the wedding of Alain and Caroline. They are literally the coolest couple around and lead such amazing lives; spending 6 months of the year on the slopes as ski instructors and the other 6 months on the waves teaching water-sports. Their wedding reflected their outdoor lifestyle in all the little details and it was very fitting that their first walk of married life was to the totally unspoilt Barafundle Bay .” Clare Adams

Beautiful Beach Cwtch Of The Week

Cwtch Of The Week: Beautiful Beach Cwtch

Cwtch of the week: Lindsey and her Dad by Maria Farrelly Photography

Good morning Cwtchers,

This weeks Cwtch of the week is a very special one to me (Lindsey) and photographed by our very own Maria Farrelly .

This week my wonderful dad is 60 years old!  I have not shared this Cwtch before but I thought it would be a nice way to let him know how much he means to me.

This moment when he first saw me in my wedding dress and the way he hugged me is one I will cherish forever.  He has always been, and continues to be such a strong role model and has worked extremely hard to ensure that I (and all his children) feel safe and secure in all our life choices.

This hug encompassed every hug I have had since a child, it told me how proud he was of me, his love and his happiness that I had met my soul mate.

A cwtch is a very powerful thing!
