Things were as usual in the Bayside Bride office this week… except for the fact that I was tasked with putting together a feature of my sister’s wedding! I have to say, there was definitely a little more pressure as I curated images and planned what to write — with memories tied to each image and a knowledge of the love that was poured into this special day, the feature had to be perfect!
Bayside Bride co-founder and incredible friend, Krista Jones captured Jenny & Josh’s wedding day. She did a stellar job, forever saving moments that were precious, silly, heartfelt, and joyful! The journey to the altar can be overwhelming at times, but knowing that your best friend is standing at the end of it makes it so worth it! Jenny and Josh are the perfect match; my sister has a zeal for passion and adventure, while Josh embodies patience and a quiet strength. Enjoy soaking in the details of their day by the bay.
Jenny crafted her favors entirely from scratch, making a hundred bottles of home-made vanilla extract! A graphic designer by trade, she also designed the labels and name cards. The bridal party, along with an incredible amount of behind the scenes work from my mom (who ran a greenhouse out of our basement for months and DIYed all of the mercury glass!), put together the centerpieces which contained flowers from our garden! One of the most special details was that my sister’s veil was cut from a piece of our moms. Having a grasp of these details helped the planning go smoothly and the execution always proved to be a fun adventure!
