Ah, snowpocalypse, you are driving Merci mad!
Last night I took to the town in five inch patent peep toes {albeit with tights}, as my little way of saying you know what to all this snow. It was one of my stupidest moves yet, and while a crowd of fashionable gay men applauded my efforts as I shuffled down the sidewalks of the West Village, I almost broke my neck about fifty times. So, I’ve decided to take a less dangerous approach to boycotting this weather, with two tiny {yet lovely} little words: Spring Shopping.
Ultimately, I’m craving girly grosgrain, bright colors, and preppy, yet edgy accents. Something that goes well with a sundress, flip flops and a summer day. Something like the Spring 2011 Kaleidoscopic Collection by Emily Elizabeth Jewelry .
According to designer Emily Elizabeth Kolins, “This season, I wanted to bring in color and fun into my collection – pieces that counteract any ‘darkness’ that the wearer encounters with an upbeat and lighthearted style.” I hear ya, Emily.
Plated in 14k gold, the pieces retail for $30-$150 {awesome} and the ribbon necklaces and bracelets can be customized in a variety of colors {think bridesmaid gifts}.
I think I may pick up a few pieces and hightail it somewhere warm….
