Rice, birdseed and plain old bubbles are so passé. Savvy city brides looking to add a fashionista’s touch to their church-side dash can now enlist in a little French flair… Gorgeous scented bubbles – courtesy of one of the world’s most famous perfumers, of course.
Bulles d’Agathe {Agatha’s Bubbles} in cut grass, cold mint and pear, $18 each.
For those unfamiliar, Francis Kurkdjian is the nose behind some of the world’s most recognizable fragrances {think Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier, which he dreamed up when he was only 25}. All of his recent creations are fresh and imaginative, but I’m just positively enamored by his latest: Les Bulles d’Agathe.
Inspired by his current muse and 7-year-old niece, Le Bulles d’Agathe come in three springtime scents {cut grass, cold mint and pear} and are meant to make children conscious of their sense of smell. However, Kurkdjian suggests that adults “blow the bubbles like kids, chase them so they burst on your nose, and smell the fragrance.”
Love it. In fact, I cannot think of anything more romantic and pretty than a bride and groom exiting the church to the aroma of Kurkdjian’s creations… Plus the packaging is so impossibly chic that they double as gorgeous favors for oh-so-impressed guests.
