Wedding White on Labor Day

Happy Labor Day!!! I'm pretty much out for the day, but I did manage to find some time to put together a little something pretty for you guys :) When I say, "out," I mean laying on the couch watching movies with Dale and my kitties all day, but you get the point! Hope you guys all have tons of fun, but also set aside some time to relax at home away from your computers! Before I get into my post for today, I also wanted to publicly thank my husband, Dale, who has been doing SO many amazing things for my blog. Seriously guys, he has come up with some awesome ideas that we've been working on bringing to life this weekend, and I can't wait to share them with you! One of them is already up and running; it's an auto-fill function that we've added to the "Search" bar up top, so be sure to check that out :)

For today's special Labor Day post, I knew that I wanted to put together an inspiration board, because I actually haven't done one in a while...I think the past few that I've made have been for guests posts on other blogs, too! I really love making inspiration boards, but I sometimes feel overwhelmed by the amount of boards that I come across on a daily basis. It is definitely "the thing" to do nowadays, and while I DO love them to death, I sometimes feel like it's all been done already, you know? For that reason, I try to save inspiration boards only for when I'm particularly inspired by something, and think it would best come across in a pretty arrangement of colors and photos. With that being said, my inspiration board today isn't particularly mind blowing, but it is damn pretty, if I do say so myself ;)

White has always been one of my favorite colors of all time (yes, I know that it's technically the absence of color, but you get the idea). My car is white, and I held out as long as I possibly could for a white iPhone (still ended up with a black one though =P)! White can't help but be beautiful and chic, in my opinion. Not to mention it's oh-so-timeless, and it will be forever associated with weddings, in particular, for one reason...The bride, of course!

As much as I love my white, there are some people out there that live and dress by an unwritten "rule" about not wearing white after Labor Day. I think it's lame, and I'd like to think that most people will throw that rule out the window and just wear white whenever they feel like it. White is timeless - summer, fall, winter or spring - it's always gorgeous, and I decided to go all-out with wedding white today.

When I was pulling photos for this inspiration board, I found myself wavering back and forth between focusing on either the summer or winter season, but I didn't want this board to focus on one season in particular. If you think about it, white is a popular wedding color for both winter and summer. Regardless of the season though, white can be incredibly elegant; so light and airy, classic and modern. When in doubt ladies, choose white. A white wedding is appropriate year round, even after labor day!
