Dreamy Swan Point Wedding | Britt Croft

Lovely lavender with pops of purple make for a surprisingly dreamy waterfront wedding palette. Britt Croft Photography is responsible for the stunning images you are about to behold! Brace yourselves for some out of this world bedazzled wedding slippers and a nearly open back down that has taken my breath away. Brittany said that she adored capturing Brent and Sarah’s wedding day because they were both so relaxed and focused on the importance of the day, rather than the importance of the details!

inspiration | till death do we part

“I LOVE Halloween! It is one of my very favorite times of the year…. the colors in the Smoky Mountains are gorgeous. There’s a slight bite in the air, sweets are the thing to eat, and there are lots of little ghouls and goblins running around. Plus, Samhain (the holiday our modern Halloween is based on) is meaningful because it is a time when the veil to the otherworld is thin so you can be close to the souls of those who have gone before. So, when Krystle, the event coordinator, came up with the idea to do a styled Halloween photo shoot, I was sold! We wanted to do a glam, sparkly Halloween with a slightly dark side which is how “Til Death Do We Part” was conceived. The vendors involved all did a marvelous job of creating a Halloween phantasmagoria, and the models (though they are not an actual couple – although I keep trying to give them a nudge in that direction) had great chemistry together. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!” – Star Noir Studio

Nautical Accessories | Sharon Elizabeth

This post was inspired by a lovely bridal session that came to us from Sharon Elizabeth Photography ! We fell in love with the little touches that this bride added to her ensemble that truly made it her own. These nautical accessories are perfect for a casual, outdoor bayside affair!

Nautical Accessories | Sharon Elizabeth

To start things off, we’ll introduce Leslie’s wedding gown. She found this bay worthy frock at J.Crew – so of course we’re automatically in love. This dress is perfect for a nautical wedding with it’s rope halter top. Accentuate the dress’ features with a swept up hair style. Looking to get your hands on an Ursula dress of your own? We don’t blame you!

Leslie made this simple white gown her own by accessorizing with a belt from Venni Caprice . This belt features the most classic nautical style and color pairing, navy and white stripes! The best part about this accessory is that it can be changed out for a different style at any point in the evening. Use something dressy for the ceremony and then swap it out for a different look during the reception.

We love nothing more than the beautiful views that bay weddings provide, however often accompanying them are damp grasses or sandy shores. Neither of these are the most stable of aisle ways so we applaud Leslie for wisely wearing wedges. These striped cork wedges are called the Santa Rosa and were made by Sperry .

Leslie changed out her striped belt for a solid navy one for the second half of her bridal session with Sharon. However, she made this one herself with some ribbon! This is a fantastic idea for any bride because you can bring in any fabric or design you’d like! Leslie said that she simply added velcro so that the belt would have a clean finish in the back.

And what bridal ensemble would be complete without some sparkling jewelry? Above you can get a look at what Leslie chose to wear, but we’ve included a few pieces of our own that we’ve been eyeing! Both the knot earrings and anchor charm can be found at Tiffany’s!

spooky wedding | Jared + Michelle

“Jared + Michelle settled on an intimate ceremony with a “til death do us part” theme. From the brooches in the wedding bouquet that the bride found in thrift stores to the handmade black veil and homemade food and cake, the wedding was full of DIY touches and personal details. When an unplanned rain storm came down on the outdoor reception, the couple embraced the good-luck superstition and ended the night with dancing in the rain and a cake fight.” – Marcella Treybig Photography
