Woohoo, it’s the weekend! Whether you’re out enjoying this crisp New York City day, or quite possibly a gorgeous fall wedding, {we l.o.v.e. the one from Roseann Wang Photography below}, here’s what you might have missed on Merci New York this week…
After weeks of waiting it out, we’ve begun to post this season’s Bridal Market Bits . Why the wait, you ask? Well {to be tres-honest}, we have been busy little Merci bees, but the real reason is that we wanted to stay relevant.
While the October market gowns were GORG, they’re not going to be ready right away… and we really strive for content that’s “Crave now, buy now” on Merci. We didn’t want to tempt you with too much unattainable eye candy too soon, but we also got a few emails from readers who saw our market tweets from the runway and wanted to see all the pretty asap. Anywho… Here’s hoping we struck the right balance. The following runway shows have been featured this week {and there’s more to come on Monday, so stay tuned}!
Junko Yoshioka’s Fall 2012 collection mastered the perfect mix of modern grace and timeless beauty {think dimensional laser cut silks, antiqued ombre matelasses and embroidered laces}. Divine!
Ines Di Santo’s glamorous S/S12 line was inspired by her dream designs for recent celebrity brides-to-be… in a collection aptly named “Star Quality.”
Claire Pettibone imagined gowns inspired by the French Countryside, with her Spring 2012 collection, Beau Monde.
Anne Barge’s Spring 2012 collection was regal and romantic. A cap sleeve gown made of gold Alecon lace over silk charmeuse stole our fashion-loving hearts.
For Merci readers who’ve already found their dream dress…. This week’s Tuesday Shoesday showcased Manolo Blahnik blue suede stilettos perfect for a winter wedding, while Wednesday’s What We Love featured preppy chic bridesmaid gifts from Dabney Lee … Happy shopping!
