Wedding Inspiration | Queen of Manhattan Photoshoot at de Gournay

As many would guess at first glance, we’re constantly enamored by the pairing of chic, classic style in a very modern New York City setting. So needless to say, when Ara of Rock Paper Scissors Events sent along this particularly fabulous photo shoot, I was beyond ecstatic to share the details with you.
Set upon the rooftop of the de Gournay showroom in the Flatiron District, the concept was to mix a somewhat gritty, hard cityscape with a very pretty, soft and feminine “Marie Antoinette” inspired table. Quatre Coeur , Paper Eight and Allan Zepeda collaborated with Ara, and voila! the incredibly chic, Manhattan “Queen for a Day” story came to life.
“In a loft or rooftop setting you can always go super modern,” Ara explained to Merci New York. “But you can also do something even more interesting by bringing in some traditional and transitional pieces which are much less expected – which is what we did here.”

Here, their pieces beautifully accentuate the decor. She wanted to do something unexpected and put them in a city backdrop to show how antique pieces can truly pop in a modern setting.
