Wow, it’s been quite a whirlwind of a week, but the pinnacle was certainly the long awaited Urban Wed event, hosted by the amazingly talented Vané of Brooklyn Bride . It was, in short, awesome. The vendors, the vibe, the sheer amount of creativity in one place… I hope you had a chance to experience this great event yourself {but if you didn’t, here’s a little peek}… 
This tablescape from Barb at Hatch Creative Studio is abounding with DIY details! From potted wineglass placesettings and moss-cut cameos, to {my favorite} a table runner constructed from vintage black-and-white photos; I love her eye for haute, modern details. 
One of my favorite ladies in the biz, Minhee from paper + cup , was on hand to showcase her stationery wares. Of course, she brought a breadth of work that had all the brides swooning… 
It was a thrill to finally catch up with Betsy of Nine Cakes , who is just as sweet and lovely as her confectionery creations. I am truly obsessed with her cakes- they’re almost too gorgeous to eat. If I were still a bride, I’d rush to her side, stat. 
Vané‘s penchant for picking fabulous vendors is uncanny. I was thrilled to be introduced to these ethereal creations from Samuelle Couture - they are simply stunning. {Brides, you will absolutely have to check them out at the soon-to-open West Village bridal boutique, Lovely - which my new friend Lanie is opening very, very soon… stay tuned!}. 
Ah Studiobooth ! Needless to say, we all got a little wacky in from of the camera; in fact, I think our crew took the cake for biggest hams. {Like big, glazed, juicy and cheesy hams}… But boy, we had fun. I love the ‘stash and spectacle accoutrement provided by paperfinger - just perfect! 
And what NYC bridal event would be complete without the gorgeous frocks from 57 Grand ? Saukok and Carmen are amazing- all of their bridesmaid dresses are designed and constructed in the city {you fashionistas out there know what an anomaly that is!} – and they’re reasonable to boot. I’ll forever be a fan.
Urban Wed was such an amazing resource for the city bride- an intimate space, a ton of well-selected talent, and a whole lot of fun. If you missed it this time, be sure to mark your calendar for next season. And to Vané, many, many congratulations. You’re aahmazing!
