Diptyque Candles: The Get-Out-of-Jail-Free Gift

The holiday season all but crept up on me this year, but a {not-so-swift} Saturday stroll down Fifth Avenue reminded me that Christmas is right around the corner.

This year I promised myself I would be prepared… and no matter what event came my way, that I would have a stash of luxe little giftables perfect for every scenario.  And if said scenario doesn’t come around.  Well even better… because I will have great gifts for me.

One of the first little luxe finds I snatched up came from Nordstrom.  And ok, ok, maybe I secretly want to keep it for myself, but it did take everything in my power to wrap them under the tree…

Diptyque Candles: The Get-Out-of-Jail-Free Gift

My get-out-of-jail {or holiday party}-free gift of the season is the stylish trio of art-deco inspired Diptyque candles in pretty little holiday jewel tones… aren’t they just too uber-chic for words?  I’m obsessed with the palette, the pattern and the scents – from Amber Oud {red} to Oliban {plum} to Sapin Dore {green} – these candles are thoughtful, luxurious and just personal enough to gift nearly anyone on your holiday list.

Happy shopping!

Merry Holiday Paper

Whew! It's Friday! The week went by kind of quickly for me! I have a feeling that this entire month is going to fly by with how much I have to get done before Christmas. With the holidays right around the corner though, I couldn't resist doing a little something on holiday paper. Wrapping paper, holiday greeting cards and festive garlands all help to make this time of year what it is, don't you think? Cosmetically, anyway. I did want to point out one particularly great idea down here, which is the wrapping paper using the holiday Trader Joe's paper grocery bags. I actually put the photo into the board before I even realized that it was using the paper bags! There are a few holiday themed wedding invitations in there, as well, of course :)
