Kate and Guy dreamed of having an outdoor wedding that was super elegant, but with subtle rustic details. As you will soon see, the Magnolia Plantation & Gardens in Charleston, South Carolina is an amazing fit for their dream! Besides the gorgeous photo opps the venue provides, the couple chose to decorate the outdoor space with romantic crystal chandeliers, wine barrels topped with fresh white flowers and a white tent meant for dancing. Both med students and former University of Florida Gators, Gretchen and Matt worked with photographer Angela Winsor for their engagement shoot in the Florida everglades. The tall trees and docks in Arthur Marshall State Park in made for a beautiful backdrop for this great looking couple in love!

When I was looking through these engagement photos by Catherine Guidry Photography , I kept thinking... This is so freaking elegant and classy, and they're just outside with a vintage truck! How is that possible?! If you ask me, Catherine's beautiful photography has a whole lot to do with it, along with Ryan and Melissa's simple and chic style. For their engagement session, the couple spent the day at the Jungle Gardens in Louisiana with an ivory vintage truck and a very special wedding quilt that was handmade by the women in Melissa's family. Beautiful, classic and so well done.

I have to say that I kind of love this couple. I think that's what drew me to this engagement session more than anything. That, and the gorgeous light in these photos by Brita Photography . As you'll soon see, Doug and Emily are absolutely adorable, and Emily's smile is just so sweet and infectious, I can't even stand it! The photographer, Brittany Kelland, is actually the bride-to-be's sister, which only seemed to bring the photos to life even more. "I was honored and beyond thrilled to photograph my sister and her fiance! ... They are true high school sweethearts and went to the same college together... Emily and Doug are the most beautiful couple you will ever meet, inside and out. And I'm not biased in any way!"

Today, I'm featuring a couple of "Smarties," as a I like to call them, and their beautiful engagement shoot by Deborah Zoe Photo in New Haven, Connecticutt. Jackie and Damian first met as freshman attending Harvard University, where they were both served as integral parts of the school's orchestra. Thereafter, the duo moved onto bigger and better things in New Haven, where they currently reside while working on their PHD degrees at the prestigious (and picturesque!) Yale University. Jackie and Damian wanted their engagement shoot to document their relationship and life together in New Haven, so their engagement photos were taken while exploring their old neighborhood, the Yale campus and at their apartment.

This fall engagement session took place at the Reynolda Gardens in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, just across the street from Wake Forest University, which is where Sarah and Aaron first met!
