Knoxville Wedding at the Southern Depot

Glamorous Knoxville Wedding at the Southern Depot

I’m a little obsessed with mismatched bridesmaid dresses , so when I saw this wedding with it’s glittery, blush bridesmaid dresses, it caught my attention immediately! Lizzy and Cameron had a gorgeous, downtown Knoxville wedding complete with accommodations at the Oliver Hotel, an elegant church ceremony, and a modern reception at The Southern Depot. It was a day that perfectly reflected tradition and class with a fun, modern flair. Lizzy’s lace gown and long train could not have been more glamorous! Overall, the entire bridal party was stylish and fashionable with their blush bridesmaid dresses, white tuxedos, and black bow ties. Thank you to Dani Rose Photography for sharing this Knoxville wedding with us! Enjoy Dani’s commentary among the gorgeous photos below.

Perhaps the most fantastic detail of the day was how these amazing dresses all came together! They were all from different stores, purchased by the girls from different cities and states across the country and it all came together beautifully. Some dresses were lace, some sequined and some just different shades of neutrals- they were all very different but came together flawlessly. Before the wedding, no one was quite sure how it would all work out, but Lizzy trusted here very fashion savvy friends to pick gorgeous dresses and it was for sure one of my favorite elements of the day!

Both Lizzy and Cameron are avid Tennessee fans (and just sports in general, really!) and met when they were introduced through friends. They are both very close to their families (who are all FANTASTIC people!) and have a very tight knit group of friends. They both love music. They adore Knoxville, but also love to travel and got to see much of the Mediterranean on their honeymoon. These are two of the kindest people I have ever met and they are just perfect for each other!

The bride wanted to incorporate some fun neon into the night so sometime during the dancing, fun, personalized neon sunglasses were passed out to guests, which was hysterical! The exit included tons of glow sticks as the couple made their way from the building- it was super colorful and for me, a pretty unique exit.

Bridal Party Gifts | Nautical Style

For many years now it has been a tradition for a bride to gift her special ladies a token of her appreciation. Throughout the entire planning process these ladies have stood by their bride’s side! Today we’ve rounded up a few awesome gift ideas for the bridesmaids!  A while back we had a post on bridesmaid gift ideas, but this time I’m bringing it back but with some 2014 nautical flare! Were talking Pantone color of the year gifts, Kiel James Patrick gifts and more!

I love how these Nautical Bridal Party Tank Tops are perfect for a bridal hang out or during the getting ready process! The anchor detail on them is so Annapolitan! Wedding Chicks has tons of customized gift ideas for your special girls! We’re also crushing on these awesome custom “Will you be my Bridesmaid?” hankies. I just love the hankie idea because I am sure your bridesmaids teared up a bit when you asked them!

Along with those lovely pearls comes a Hang-On Navy Stripe , a little cosmetic bag that is perfect for all wedding day goodies and emergency items!

Of course we’d be remiss without a quick shout out to the Pantone Color of the Year! This cute Essie polish is great for everyone, of course and you can switch the colors up. This Play Date color will be coming in hot this year as Pantone announced their Color of the Year as Radiant Orchid. You can get this little gem right at Essie ‘s website along with so many other gorgeous shades!

Chances are that if you are spending your day on Bayside Bride, you have a little nautical in you! We’re betting you’re one to swoon over cute anchor earrings. Aptly named the “drift-knots” this particular pair if perfectly patriotic.  These earrings are perfect for the more laid back wedding, but also great for every day wear! Another great nautical find is the Lucky Sailor leather belt from Kiel James Patrick !

This gift is one of my favorites, it’s great to wear in those classic getting ready photographs. It’s so nice when all the girls are wearing something similar! This gift made it into the gift ideas a few years back as well so it’s clearly tried and true! This gift is wonderful and would look lovely paired up with those Stella & Dot pearls!

DIY Wedding | David + Brittany

“David + Brittany’s gorgeous winter wedding was an absolute joy to photograph! The white, greens, and gray that they chose for their wedding gave it a clean and classic look. We utilized the ISU campus where they met for their beautiful portraits. David + Brittany chose to do a first look before the wedding which was absolutely precious. He stood in the frigid wind patiently waiting for her arrival. The moment he saw her his smile radiated joy. Their whole day played out perfectly, with abundance of time for them to just soak in each other’s love, as well as the love from their family and friends.” – Everlasting Love Photography

“My favorite wedding day memory was when David and I did our first look and the time we got to spend together while taking pictures. It was relaxing to be away from the chaos and we were not stressed about anything. We ended up having more time together than we had planned which made the rest of the day go smoothly as well…

..Yes. My mom was able to use her creativity to help make the invitations, my hairpiece and jewelry, bridesmaids jewelry, centerpieces, all floral bouquets/boutonnieres, and decorations. I think that by doing it yourself you can create a unique and personal wedding as well as save money. Also, if you have friends or family who love being creative don’t be scared to ask them for help!

..I would tell brides who are planning, to remember that although it is “their wedding,” there are tons of people helping with time, money, ideas, etc. That being said, sometimes things get planned or ideas get changed and “your wedding” starts to look different that how you envisioned it. This is easy to get worked up about but remember that the people helping you are the people you love the most, and you couldn’t pull it off without them. I had to learn how to go with the flow – which is not my natural tendency – and let go of some things. In the end everything turned out so much better than it had if I had tried to do everything myself and I was glad I was open to other’s ideas.” – Brittany, the bride
