The St. Regis New York Unveils the Tiffany Suite | NYC Wedding Accommodations

As you might have noticed, I’ve been in a rather luxe mood here at Merci New York . But I’ve devised a plan. Rather than spend my way down Fifth Avenue {and risk some serious Am-Ex interrogation with the hubs}, I’ve decided to share all my posh little finds with you. Genius, no?
So, for the New York bride who didn’t bat an eyelash at yesterday’s stunning {$3,500} Alexander McQueen sculpted wedges , today we bring you… {le sigh}… The St. Regis New York’s freshly unveiled Tiffany Suite. The St. Regis New York Unveils the Tiffany Suite | NYC Wedding Accommodations The St. Regis New York Unveils the Tiffany Suite | NYC Wedding Accommodations Pretty fabulous, no? The glistening 1,700 square foot suite on the 14th floor of the legendary St. Regis New York was completed this June. Both whimsical and luxurious, I love how it reflects Tiffany’s modern aesthetic and contemporary vision within the deeply elegant walls of The St. Regis. And just think, for $8,500 a night {plus tax}, it could be all yours.

The suite features a serene and sophisticated range of subtle neutral colors including whites, beiges, charcoal grey and silver, with the signature Tiffany blue as an accent color throughout the suite. Upon entering the space {and channeling your inner Holly Golightly}, you’ll instantly recognize jewel inspired references…

The foyer features a Tiffany-blue glass beaded and silver leafed handmade wall covering. The entry console’s design is a subtle reference to one of Tiffany’s most iconic pieces, the engagement ring. Accent pieces include an intricate jewel-shaped mirror and stunning silver leafed table. And to top it all off, the Tiffany Suite dining room features Tiffany china, silverware and classic bar ware, making it an ideal setting for a chic dinner party, pre-wedding pampering and some truly stunning photos.

Dream alongside me, will you?

xx,

The Standard | NYC Wedding Accommodations

Continuing with Merci New York’s series of featuring some of the city’s hottest hotels to stay, sleep and play, {and of course, house your out-of-town wedding guests}, it only made sense to showcase one of the newest, hippest and dare we say, sexiest, hotels in Manhattan: the ever-chic Standard Hotel. Take a peek…
The Standard | NYC Wedding Accommodations The Standard | NYC Wedding Accommodations The Standard | NYC Wedding Accommodations The Standard is hotelier Andre Balazs’s latest, and like many of his past ventures, it comes packed with a certain electricity and buzz that oozes downtown cool. Perched twenty stories above the High Line, the city’s newest old park {recreated from the former elevated subway line}, the Standard boasts 337 glass rooms and a certain, well, exhibitionism, that has given it quite a sultry reputation since its Fall 2009 opening.
Those looking for an after-party will certainly find one in the Boom Boom Room, one of Manhattan’s hottest nightclubs located on the hotel’s 18th floor. Be forewarned: having a hotel room key does not guarantee entrance, but those who do meander into the Art Deco lounge will absolutely love it. The sleek dark wood bar and furnishings are only matched by the hot crowd, and the party always lasts into the early AM. {Though worth noting: any particularly inebriated frat brothers denied entrance can still party hearty in the hotel’s lobby, a “living room” where some of this city’s best DJs spin on weekend nights. Definitely not a bad consolation prize}…Of course, the Standard is certainly a scene, but that’s not to say that your great Aunt Gertie should feel shy about booking a room. More conservative out of town guests can find solace in the simple room accommodations, well stocked gym and almost-always open Standard Grill. {Not to mention, the sweeping city and Hudson views from the floor to ceiling windows that seem to have everyone swooning}.

The Surrey | NYC Wedding Accommodations

I truly adore the chic decor and uptown panache of The Surrey . I had the pleasure of previewing the newly renovated hotel during a Net-a-Porter press event last month, and reminisced about its dove gray decor after running a post on Monique Lhuillier’s home similarly-hued home earlier this week… Simply stated, the hotel is gorgeous.
If you’re hosting an uptown wedding, it’s well worth considering this spot for your out-of-town guests. Take a look…
The Surrey | NYC Wedding Accommodations Sitting along a quiet Upper East Side block, the Surrey looks more like an inviting apartment building than a hotel… Many of the 190 guest rooms have private terraces with views of Central Park, but those without views can meander onto the rooftop garden, which affords gorgeous treetop views {and stunning pre-wedding photo opportunities}. The Surrey | NYC Wedding Accommodations Ah the bar… {always an important consideration for certain post-reception cocktails}. Bar Pleiades, brainchild of Cameron Bogue, sits along the hotel lobby and is known for it’s delish custom coktails. It also plays neighbor to in-house restaurant Cafe Boulud {yes, that’s Daniel Boulud’s elegant famed French restaurant}. Both dining options are impossibly polished and tre-uptown chic. The Surrey | NYC Wedding Accommodations The Spa at the Surrey is exceptional- the treatment rooms are soothingly dusted in the hotel’s signature dove gray, and furnished with luxe Darphin products. The polished simplicity is so perfect for pre-wedding pampering. The Surrey | NYC Wedding Accommodations All of The Surrey’s guest rooms are equally luxurious, with Duxiana beds, Sferra linens and a expansive pillow menu that puts most hotels to shame. Of course, special touches prevail, such as personalized stationery in every room and a photography collection by Jenny Holzer. The Surrey | NYC Wedding Accommodations The presidential suite is truly breathtaking. Swallowed in gorgeous tones of muted gray and creamy neutrals, the aesthetic is equally posh and soothing. The walls are adorned with fabulous art from Richard Serra and Cecily Brown. The Surrey | NYC Wedding Accommodations Stunning, is it not?! The Surrey is located at 20 East 76th Street. For a site visit, contact the hotel at 212.288.3700.
