Last Monday, I had the pleasure of sharing an overview of the gorgeous Maroma , a beautiful boutique resort nestled in the Mayan Riviera region of Mexico. During my press trip to the property, I indulged in a “wedding weekend” that included an intimate welcome dinner, a beautiful rehearsal and traditional Mayan wedding ceremony, and the main event: a beach-chic reception that was truly to die for.
Today, for part two of Maroma Monday , we’re sharing the details of the traditional Mayan wedding ceremony. Our couple chose to incorporate the Mayan ceremony the evening before the wedding… They wanted to give guests a taste of traditional Mayan culture, and with all the colorful details, interesting rituals and a backdrop like the Maroma beach, who would object??
