Gig Out to the Live Acts Performing at Nocturnal Wonderland 2016

In our eyes, the art of the DJ will stay sacred until the end of time. But that’s not to say there’s anything wrong with artists incorporating live elements into their sets as a way to spice up the old routine. In fact, we’re v down with it—so much so, Nocturnal Wonderland is welcoming a fair number of live acts to its lineup this year.

The word “live” has a loose interpretation in the electronic realm and can range anywhere from creating in-the-mo remixes, making sweet love to synthesizers onstage, wailing something nasty on the sax, or keeping time on an actual drum kit. It’s all getting covered next month at Noc, with each of its live performances adding something special to the experience you don’t want to sleep on.

ODESZA takes indie dance to the next level, proving why they’re one of the most hyped names of our day. Not tailing in any sense are the funked-up flavors spit-shined by the one and only Chromeo. German duo Âme and fellow native Henrik Schwarz occupy the deepest expanses of the underground; meanwhile, Matador tames the techno beast. Keys N Krates crank up the trap energy, while Dabin dips into the melodic dubstep. Big Gigantic and Gramatik go in on the electro, funk and soul tip. The chill house vibes come courtesy of Autograf and Gryffin.
