How do you get perfectly Floridian photos in the height of a South Florida summer? Working with a pro like our Fave Chelsey Boatwright Photography is the best place to start! Deidra and Brad wanted something a little different than the beach to complement their rustic, natural style, and they ran the seasonal gauntlet at Riverbend Park in Jupiter to do just that.
Deidra and Brad met online - she tells us he was the only one she would meet in person! After they met, they found out that they has mutual friends after all.
They moved in together after six months, but Brad waited four years to pop the question... and a year after buying the ring to plan the big event. For Deidra's birthday, Brad rented out a room at Uptown Art and held a painting class with her friends and family. After the class, they sang her the happy birthday song, and he got down on one knee. Says Deidra, "I was completely in shock - it was the one time in 2 years I wasn't assuming 'Tonight's the night'!"
The two chose Riverbend Park for their session in order to complement their rustic-styled wedding. Following suit, Jupiter definitely gave them a dose of typical Sunshine-State-in-the-Summer reality: steamy hot weather, multiple downpours, and a mosquito infestation. "Getting the pictures done was actually a mission. I didn't think there was any way we would have decent pictures. Chelsey was such a trooper and even in the circumstances captured the most beautiful pictures I could have ever asked for!"
Brad and Deidra were married earlier this year; it sounds like they had a blast and, with Chelsey's assistance, the planning was a breeze. Congrats, you two!
